R U Sleeping RTS is a small and portable sleep recorder. R U Sleeping RTS allows MRC Healthcare to tailor sleep assessments to our patient’s needs and busy schedules and they can use it in the comfort of their own bed!

Reports are read by our sleep specialist physician partners and are provided to our patient clients typically within a week, with recommendations for final treatment.

Q: Is it difficult to use the R U Sleeping RTS Screening Device?
A: No. It only requires a 15 to 20 minute instruction period from one of our trained representatives.

Q: Where does the training take place?
A: At one of our three convenient locations in the Greater Toronto Area.

Q: Will I be able to sleep?
A: Yes. Clients are surprised at the ease of use of the R U Sleeping RTS and the peace of mind it provides, allowing patients a good night sleep.The equipment is designed to be slept with.

Q: Can I drink coffee or tea before going to sleep?
A: No. You should avoid any caffine products after 3pm of your sleep screening night.

Q: Can I take my medication?
A: YES, you should take all your normal prescription medication.

Q: Will I need to be plugged into the wall?
A: Not during a home sleep apnea screening. The monitor used in the home sleep studies runs on batteries.

Q: Will I be able to move during the night?
A: Yes.

Q: Can I get out of bed during the night?
A: Yes. In a home sleep screening the portable monitor has a convenient pouch; so it can follow you anywhere.

Q: What will happen next?
A: Your sleep study will be analysed by sleep specialists who will make an appointment with you to discuss the results.

Q: Is the screening covered under OHIP?
A: No. There is a small fee associated with the screening. Please call for more details.
